What’s for fun?

Ask them what on-board entertainment they provide. Depending on the airlines you might get end up being very well entertained, or be left looking as sleep as the most worthwhile option. If they are going to haggle with you over everything from baggage limit to request for water, there’s no point in saving money.

Safety

Last but not the least, the value of safety cannot be undermined. Cheap flights are rarely praised for their safety standards. They have to cut costs somewhere, and sometimes that ‘somewhere’ ends up being the safety department. Do not put your life in danger for saving a few dollars. Check previous history of safety for the airline’s flights; that should be a good indication.

If you research well and book smartly, there is no reason why cheap flights cannot provide you a satisfying journey. Just don’t pin your hopes too high if you are in the cost-cutting mode.
